LUXE PATTERNS
The wainscoting of Portuguese glazed tiles has been set up by the former proprietor decorator. "Aren't they magnificent?" Says designer Joe Nye. He also slipcovered the side chair in a linen stripe that was complementary.
MIRRORED DRAWERS
A vanity table joins a set of mirrored bureaus in a vintage-inspired space by Carrie Hayden. Thick slabs of honed marble for the backsplashes and counters -- combined with an antique gilt mirror -- finish the dressylook.
BLUE CEILING
Designer Eddie Lee reimagined this master bathroom as "a mix of English charm and Asian lushness, with a few European classicism added in," he says. Panels grace the walls, while Farrow & Ball paint imitates a cloudless heavens.
DUELING SINKS
At a California beach bungalow designed by Chad Eisner, symmetrical sinks flank the sides of the master bath.
METALLIC WALLS
With marble floors and mirrored closets, Matthew Quinn created a "silent spa" that nonetheless fulfilled his customer's love for bling. Light bounces off the many reflective finishes -- even the silvery grass-cloth wallpaper -- so the bathroom feels "extravagant but low-key."
